The Italian Education Research Association (IERA) is a non-profit organisation pursuing civic, solidarity and social-utility purposes through activities of general interest, as set out in Article 5 of the Italian Third Sector Code. IERA is registered in the national Third Sector register (RUNTS).
IERA is not an academic scientific society and does not represent any academic discipline. Disciplinary communities already have their scientific societies, and we value their work. Our role is different and complementary: we help educational research circulate, connect the people and centres who produce it, and return its results to schools, educators, families and local communities.
Membership of IERA is open to anyone who shares these aims, including researchers who already belong to a scientific society, teachers of every school level, educators, students and organisations.
